LTC

Lieutenant Colonel Anthony C. Comello is a 1994 graduate of Xavier University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Regular Army commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Signal Corps, branch detailed Infantry.

Upon completion of several training schools at Ft. Benning, Lieutenant Colonel Comello reported to his first duty assignment as a Bradley Rifle Platoon Leader in 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Georgia. Following this assignment, Lieutenant Colonel Comello transitioned to the Signal Corps and was assigned as a Nodal Platoon Leader in the 123rd Signal Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division. He then served as the Battalion Assistant S-3 (Operations), before transferring to the 3rd Engineer Brigade to serve as the Brigade Signal Officer.

          Following completion of Signal Captain’s Career Course, Lieutenant Colonel Comello was assigned as the Brigade Signal Officer for 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division in Friedberg, Germany. From there, he transferred to the 141st Signal Battalion to serve as the Division G6 Operations Officer, before assuming command of Alpha Company,141st Signal Battalion. Subsequent to command, Lieutenant Colonel Comello served within the Capabilities Development Directorate at the United States Army Signal Center.

            Upon graduation from the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Lieutenant Colonel Comello reported for duty as the Brigade Signal Officer for 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. Following these duties, Lieutenant Colonel Comello joined the United States Special Operations Command, serving as Chief, Global Network Operations Center as well as Deputy, USSOCOM C4I Programs.
